10th Annual Party in the Park

The 10th annual Party in the Park this past weekend blew the tops off the trees with tons of great musical performances. Local artists took to the big stage both afternoons showcasing their voices for the crowd. Fan favourites also rocked the park including Joe Public, Connor Adams, Erin Haley & Amber Haydey & Band, Red Cannons, The Orchard, and Walking in Your City. The weekend headliners, Bif Naked on Saturday and George Canyon on Sunday, were electric to watch. Both were highly entertaining as they encouraged the crowd to sing and dance along to the music.

 

Though the weather was a bit windy and cold, it didn’t damper the fun for the many families that came out. A row of inflatables including two competition versions that were hilarious to watch, were in constant use as kids of all ages hopped and bounced the afternoon away. There was also face painting, balloon animals, a firefighter obstacle course, and human bubble balls. A few celebrities were also roaming around. Did you get to see Bertie the Beaver, Spider-Man, Superman, Cinderella, and Ariel? They were giving out hugs and high fives all weekend. With lots of great music, delicious food, free fun activities, and a community coming together to celebrate the end of the summer, Whitecourt’s 2016 Party in the Park was absolutely fantastic!
