The Royal Bank of Canada in Whitecourt held its 30th anniversary celebration on June 20. The bank was established 150 years ago and originated in Halifax.
The Whitecourt branch was originally in Atco trailers and placed in a dirt field close to where 7-11 is now. It wasn’t until many years later that the bank was built where it sits today.
