With five Whitecourt teams and five away teams (two teams from Spruce Grove, and one each from Grande Prairie, Barrhead, and Fox Creek), the two-day hockey Initiation Tournament was fun for all. A huge part of the successful tournament weekend was the hard work put in by the volunteers, the dedication of the families, the inspiration from the coaches, and the support of the sponsors.
The 50/50 draw and raffle tables were also a hit, with many willing to take a chance for a good cause. Tim Hortons donated hot chocolate and donuts which warmed everybody up. The smiles kept on going as the Whitecourt Wolverines signed autographs for the children and skated with them.
