Do you want to buy a lollipop? If you had bought one last weekend at Darian Underwood’s yard sale, you could have satisfied your sugar craving and helped to raise money for cancer and the Relay for Life.
Quinton and Callum Larson, and Bentley Crabbe sold lollipops at the yard sale on a ‘pay what you pull’ basis. Buyers chose a lollipop and pulled it out of the pot. The color on the bottom of the stick indicated the price. “Most people ignored that, and just gave a donation,” said Underwood.
People were very generous. The three boys raised $89.
“The kids had a blast,” said Underwood. “We are all super proud of them, and they are pretty pleased with themselves. They are pretty great kids.”
