Looking for something fun for your kids this Halloween day? Check out Spookfest at the Allan and Jean Millar Centre and get ready for some frightening, frolicking, candy-filled fun.
“It’s going to be a carnival style event,” said co-ordinator Kelly Sadoway. “There will be games, crafts, and carnival games for the kids to participate in. We have some really great games like the Minecraft Nerf Gun Shooting Gallery.” Just like at a carnival, kids can play the game and win tickets they can exchange for exciting prizes.
Another way to win is to Trade Your Treat for a ticket on a scooter. Timberstoke has donated a scooter and the way to win it is to trade in some of your Halloween candy for a chance to win. The draw will take place on Community Fun Night on November 14. Come in to the Allan and Jean Millar Centre after Halloween to trade in your candy for a chance to win the scooter or other prizes like a ticket to the pool. “Kids get lots of candy at Halloween,” said Sadoway. “This is a way to remind them to get out and play.”
Kids can come dressed up, and there is no need to register. The event happens on Saturday, October 31 at AJMC and it’s only $2 for non-members and free for members.
