Seniors' Week wrapped up on Saturday after a whole week of
activities. Seniors enjoyed catered meals, bingo, a movie night, floor
curling with youths, an art show, and a dance. One of the events was
the Rotary Club barbecue held on Saturday which was attended by over 80
seniors. Rotary Club Community Chair Jenn Hendrickson said its
important for Rotary to serve and appreciate all populations of the
community "from kids to our wonderful seniors." Seniors' Week attendee
Donna Code, who recently moved to Whitecourt, sang high praise for all
the seniors' events in town. "It's unbelievable how much Whitecourt has
for seniors with all the events there are here." Code added that she,
along with everyone else, very much enjoyed all the Seniors' Week
activities.
