Need a lunch date? How about with the leader of the Wildrose Party? On October 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., you can head over to the Forest Interpretive Centre for a Barbecue Meet and Greet with Brian Jean, the leader of the Wildrose Party, and your local Constituency Association Board members.
“The barbecue gives the community the chance to get to know the Wildrose Party a bit better,” explains Brittany Javorsky, secretary of the Constituency Association. “Brian Jean will be making a short speech. Following the speech, he will be mingling amongst the crowd.”
The Barbecue Meet and Greet is a free event that is open to the public. There is no pre-registration required, and anyone can attend, so head on over to grab a hot dog or a hamburger and visit with the leader of the Wildrose Party.
Brian Jean was elected as Wildrose leader on March 28, 2015, just days before Premier Jim Prentice called the 2015 provincial election.
“The event is important to the community because it provides an opportunity for individuals to meet the leader of our party and the people who are part of the local Constituency Association,” Javorsky explains. “The community needs to know the people who are asking to lead the community in the future.”
If you are interested in learning more about the Wildrose Party, its leader, and your local Constituency Association Board members, be sure to head over to the Forest Interpretive Centre this Saturday to grab a bite and chat about Alberta’s future.
