The Whitecourt Cats brought out their wild side on Friday afternoon at the Graham Acres Sports Complex, beating the High Prairie Renegades 60-0. A solid crowd was on hand filling the stands with loud and cheerful support for both teams.
The parking lot was a sloppy, muddy mess thanks to the recent mild temperatures, making it a little interesting for everyone, but the warm sunshine, bright blue sky, and crisp fall air certainly made up for it.
The Cats started strong and kept the momentum going throughout the entire game, not once giving up a point. #6 Logan Seu ran a couple pigskins past the defence making it look easy as he seemed to flip on his internal nitrous switch and propel himself up the field, passing Renegades players like they were standing still.
With lots of big hits, multi-player pile-ups, long-run touchdowns, and crowd-pleasing tackles, both teams provided the crowd with an entertaining football game regardless of the one-sided score.
