Loblaw (No Frills) has sold all 213 of its gas stations across Canada to Brookfield Business Partners for $540 million. Brookfield will rebrand all stations to Mobil; however, will continue to use the PC Plus Loyalty program that has been offered in the past.
Since coming into effect July 15, the Whitecourt gas bar has been in the process of doing internal switches says Harshbir Singh, the local supervisor. Singh states it will most likely take several months for all the electronic changes, new signs, and the switch to Mobil Products.
Singh understands that there will be a few chosen gas bars throughout Canada which will be used as pilots while the transitions take effect. These will then be used as models for the remaining stations.
