No stranger to putting on really great live music shows, Tevin ‘T-Co’ Cotton is bringing another show to the Crown and Anchor Pub on September 22. The show is his third that he has put together in order to bring more live music to Whitecourt, and to provide opportunities for musicians to be heard.
“This community has a lot of great local talent musicians, but not a lot of opportunities to let the community hear it,” Cotton said. To that end, he began to organize some venues to let people play and be heard. This will be the third show he has put together with the help of these artists.
The headliners of the evening are Chad LE Mcghie, Danibal, and Z Wave, and of course T-Co will be playing as well. Other performers, 11 different artists, will be coming from Alberta and BC and many of the acts are local. The evening will be held together with a special guest, DJ Ned.
T-Co enjoys organizing the shows to help out the artists, as he understands how important performing live can be for an upcoming musician. He himself has been involved in making music for a long time and he knows that sometimes an opportunity can make all the difference. His own popularity began to take off after he was given a chance to perform at a local Canada Day show in Whitecourt. “For some of our acts, it will be their first time performing on stage,” T-Co said. “This is a great way to showcase local musicians, and it’s great that people are willing to give them the chance.”
The music will be mostly hip hop, but there will be some R&B and some acoustic guitar. The show starts at 9 pm, and it is at the Crown and Anchor, so open to those 18 and over. There is no cover charge, but merchandise and albums will be for sale. The show is being sponsored by Microtel Inns and Suites and the Crown and Anchor Pub. Don’t miss it!
