On Monday, October 1, the staff at École St. Mary School rallied together in support of Orange Shirt Day. This day allows people to come together to show their hope for reconciliation regarding the historical treatment of First Nations groups. In this photo they are sitting in front of artwork made by the students from kindergarten to grade three. The students made the art to symbolize that ‘every child matters’ as well as showing how they care about those who died, and those who suffered in the residential schools.
