Yellow Vests’ last push

A few members from the Yellow Vest Whitecourt group got together on Saturday beside Tim Hortons along Highway 43 to give one last push for the federal election. Organizer Robert Walsh and supporter Jaymie Byrne wearing yellow vests were continuing to bring awareness to get Trudeau out and Alberta back to work.

Walsh said, “We are hoping people will understand their votes do matter, and that we have to get Trudeau out as quickly as possible or we’re going to be in major financial trouble. Communities will suffer, health care will suffer, and the pipeline will never go through as long as he’s in office.”

Since the advanced polls first opened on October 11, there have been 4.7 million votes submitted according to Elections Canada and the Poll Tracker website. Walsh added, “Just get involved in your community as that’s where it starts. If you don’t have a community, you don’t have a country. Get out and vote, and support the people who are standing up for you.”
