Tribute to Abba and Fleetwood Mac brings back memories

The Eagle River Casino was filled with music from the 70s on November 15 and 16 as a four-member band along with two musician supporters out of Vancouver made their tour stop in Whitecourt. The professional musicians play around the world and are known as Arrival, Canada’s Tribute to ABBA; and Dreams, the Ultimate Tribute to Fleetwood Mac. The band takes the crowd back in time with a sound and stage show to the degree you think you are seeing and hearing the real ABBA and Fleetwood Mac. Many concert goers who looked forward to the event could be seen singing along to the popular music they’d grown up with while others hit the dance floor to get their groove on.

All concert events at the casino are free to attend, but if you’d like to guarantee group seating, table fees get charged with monies raised going back to a local charity. For every concert event, Eagle River Casino chooses a different non-profit organization to support. With sold-out tables for both the Arrival and Dreams concert, the funds collected were donated to the Whitecourt Gymnastics Club. Putting on concerts such as this is a win/win for everyone. Not only do residents get to attend concert events from well-known bands, but the many local non-profit organizations benefit from the table fees.
