Last week, a cold snap brought bitterly cold temperatures for the first time this year. Dropping well into the minus twenties, much of the community awoke to a crispy layer of snow on the ground and a wintery mist lingering in the air. Tree branches and exposed greenery were solidified in an icy blanket that glowed in the early morning sun. It was a sign that winter was here to stay.
