The Whitecourt & Woodlands Performing Arts Society will be hosting country music singer Brett Kissel at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre on November 7. This visit is part of Kissel’s Airwaves album tour, and his song Airwaves is at the top of the country music charts in Canada at the moment. All proceeds from the event will go to support the Performing Arts Society.
Kissel hails from Flat Lake, Alberta and is a homegrown country boy through and through. Growing up on a rural Alberta farm has clearly influenced his music, lending a rustic romanticism to his sound. Tickets for the performance are available through the town’s website or at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre for $39. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and minors must be accompanied by an adult as this is a licensed event.
Jordan McIntosh will be the opening act for Kissel. McIntosh is 18 and a quickly-rising star on the Canadian country music scene. McIntosh has worked with some of the most well-known country music singers of our time including Alan Jackson, George Canyon, and Hunter Hayes. You can download McIntosh’s latest single now on iTunes music or come out in person to support these wonderful Canadian artists.
