Kick off Christmas with the annual Chamber of Commerce Christmas parade. It’s happening on November 28 at 7 p.m. Before the parade, gather in front of Town Hall for the Christmas Tree Light Up at 6:45 p.m.
Along the parade route, hot chocolate will be served at various points. Midtown Mall will be offering hot chocolate sponsored by If Hearts Could Speak. The Brick and SunLife will also be providing hot chocolate in front of their locations and, if you need to warm up, there will be a bonfire behind the Legion with carolers and hot chocolate sponsored by the SkyView Alliance Church.
After the parade, enjoy late night shopping and get your stamp card double-stamped. Every $10 spent locally gets a stamp. Once you have 20 stamps you can enter the draw that takes place every Saturday until Christmas. There are great prizes — cash and gift certificates — on offer.
Come out and enjoy the parade, but please don’t park on the parade route. Despite making it difficult to move around, it can be dangerous for kids when they run out between parked cars to pick up candy.
