The local Domino’s Pizza is a proud supporter of Whitecourt Central School’s Jump Rope for Heart program, and provided the class that raised the most money with a pizza party. The winning class raised approximately $1,500 and, together, the school raised nearly $11,000.
Jump Rope for Heart encourages youth activity while collecting funds to support heart disease and stroke research. It’s a winning situation for both this lifesaving research and to encourage children to be more active – which leads to better heart health.
The class has more than earned its party, but we are all winners when the community comes together to support initiatives like this one, and children realize the importance of exercise and charitable giving.
