Eagle Tower plays a critical role in the region by providing assistance to victims of trauma and crime. This police-based service works alongside the RCMP to provide victim support immediately following a trauma and in the time afterward, when adjustment periods can be difficult and overwhelming.
From emotional support to assistance navigating the court system and referrals to other agencies for continued support, Eagle Tower provides all its services at no cost to the victim. If you have recently been the victim of a trauma or crime, you can contact them via phone at 780-779-5924 (Whitecourt) or 780-622-3580 (Fox Creek).
Eagle Tower is always in need of volunteers and donations, and anyone looking to contribute their time or make a donation is encouraged to contact organizers through the above phone numbers.
No matter how resilient you are, the effects of trauma are very difficult to manage on your own. Feelings of insecurity, fear, isolation, and stress along with changes to your behaviour are common reactions. These are not feelings you can simply shrug off, nor should you. Working through the emotions is an important step in healing. Support during your time of need is a critical factor in recovery. If you are in need of help, reach out to Eagle Tower Victim Services.
