Small-time businesses are now going digital amidst this current global health crisis. For one entrepreneur who runs an online food business, it has allowed her to revisit her passions of serving food and beverage to others. Edmonton resident Eva Woyewoda wrote, “What I am offering to others is an opportunity to earn free products with my online food business using an online platform, which due to company policy I can’t directly name. Alternatively, I can also help coach someone to earn an online income, including earning free products, bonuses and even an opportunity for a free trip. On the online party groups, I host cooking classes as well as share nutritional tips, food prep tricks and help keep mealtimes simple and easy.”
She continued, “Anyone can benefit. Many are looking outside the box. I was inspired to become a consultant with this online food business, after being invited to host an online party, by a friend. I soon noticed how much engagement my party was getting and decided it would be smart to do this as a business to earn money rather than just a free product. Like most people, what I am looking for was to keep myself busy at home and stay connected with my friends and family with the added benefit of helping others.”
She further stated, “As far as times for the cooking shows, it is really at someone’s leisure. I fit it into my schedule when it’s convenient for me. Others can tune in to the replay at their convenience as well. That’s the beauty of these types of home-based businesses. It is very flexible for both hosts/ business owners as well as the viewers. Formally I was an RMT and business owner of Footprints Massage and Wellness Inc. in my hometown of Whitecourt. I moved to Edmonton in January 2020, for retraining to become a Yoga Teacher as well to access a physical therapy specialist for a concussion that resulted from a motor vehicle accident last winter. I have explored other companies with a similar platform to the current online business in the past (supplements). However, I find this training and support system is a lot easier to follow step by step, than other companies I’ve worked with via their web learning and App tools.”
Woyewoda further elaborated, “Online businesses are seeing such a huge growth right now because of our current global circumstances. Before my journey with Massage Therapy, I earned a Diploma in Hospitality Business Management with a Major in Food and Beverage.”
