The Whitecourt & District Chamber of Commerce held its annual downtown spring carnival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Wild Rose Shows began setting up their two-street stretch of amusement rides on Wednesday morning, much to the delight of the students at Central School, who could see the activity happening just down the street from their playground. The beautiful forecast made for a busy carnival, with residents and community visitors enjoying the sights and sounds of the midway all three days from open to close. The carnival featured some all-time favourite rides, including the Yoyo, dragon coaster, merry-go-round and Ferris wheel.
