January’s Night Out in Whitecourt (N.O.W) event was a fun-filled, adrenaline packed joyride as community members came out in droves to explore the tube run at Eastlink Park. The lineup for the tube hill was never short, with well over 70 participants taking part in the event, making it one of the most attended events since the N.O.W nights began.
Sheri Pritchard and friends, including Tim Odell, attended the night and said it was a blast. “It was a lot of fun! There were tons of people tonight. We even ran out of tubes because there were so many people. So, people ahead of us in line had to commandeer our tubes so they could go down the hill” she laughed.
With a temperature hovering around -3, it couldn’t have been a more perfect evening for the event to take place. “It was such a great night. You get to meet new people and get to know what’s out and fun in Whitecourt” said Sheri. Her friend Tim experienced the tube run for the first time that night and was impressed. “It’s a really good tube run. Lots of fun.”
The next N.O.W event is slated for February 2 at the Whitecourt Golf & Country Club and will feature a more relaxed environment, with yoga and wine from 7-9pm. Registration is not required for these free events. If you would like to hold an event at your venue, contact the Allan & Jean Millar Centre at 780-778-3637
