Edson: MP Jim Eglinski, Member of Parliament for Yellowhead, on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, is pleased to announce funding to Whitecourt’s Party in the Park Committee in the amount of $17,100 through the Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program in support of the 9th annual Party in the Park in Whitecourt, Alberta. Party in the Park takes place over the Labour Day long weekend and features a variety of musical, dance, and cultural performances including the work of over 60 local artists.
Quick Facts
• This year’s Party in the Park will take place at the Whitecourt Rotary Park on September 5 and 6. It is a free, all-ages community event.
• Party in the Park is organized in partnership with the Town of Whitecourt and Woodlands County.
• Whitecourt’s Party in the Park Committee is a local, non-profit organization that oversees the planning and delivery of the annual event.
• The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage Program provides Canadians with more opportunities to take part in activities that present local arts and culture and celebrate local history and heritage.

“Each year, Party in the Park provides our community with access to a fun, family-friendly event to close off the end of summer. Thanks to this investment, the festival can continue to offer its fantastic variety of musical, artistic, and cultural programming to everyone in Whitecourt and beyond,” concluded MP Eglinski.
