The first annual Music for Charity event presented by the Blak Lite District and T-Co took place on Friday evening at the Whitecourt Seniors Circle. Fifteen acts, both local and from the surrounding area including Edmonton, came together to put on a show while raising money for a good cause. All proceeds from the event were donated to the Community Lunchbox Program. El Brenno, one of the organizers from the Blak Lite District said the purpose of the event was to “create a music scene locally” and added that “artists need to mingle and get to know each other.” More events will be planned in the future and local artists are encouraged to join the group. Contact El Brenno or Tevin Cotton on Facebook for more details.
