This year has been a rebuilding year for the Wolverines which Coach Bouchard says has been a great thing for the team. While most teams (in any league) find a rebuild year difficult and with expectations of success low, the Wolverines hit the ground running (or skating) this year, despite the changes.
“The team is excited and in a good mood. Our goal was to make the playoffs and we feel good going into this series against Lloydminster,” says Bouchard. “We are prepared, but it will be a challenge starting on the road. Our last game here we played very well so we are just feeding off that to keep us motivated.”
The series against the Lloydminster Bobcats took place on March 5, 6, and 8, with additional game slots set aside for March 9 and 11 for a best-of-five series. The Wolverines played the first two games of the series in Lloydminster and their spirits were high. There is a lot of anticipation surrounding this series and there is no doubt that the town, as always, fully supports the team.
