The 5th Whitecourt Pins & Needles Quilt Guild Show took place on Saturday at Central School. Held every two years, the show featured 140 quilted items by 25 local creators. Attendees enjoyed a scavenger hunt while they perused the quilts and voted for their choice of two categories (Viewers Choice and All Things Bright & Beautiful). Also on display were 33 quilts that will be donated to Wellspring. These special blankets will be given to individuals staying at the shelter and will be theirs to keep when they leave. The show had many amazing pieces on display full of beautiful colours, patterns, and designs. There was something for everyone! The guild is always looking to grow their group and encourage those interested to call Holly at 780-778-3363. They also have a Facebook page (Whitecourt Pins & Needles Quilt Guild).
