RAVE: With just over 24 hours to go, EGS Oilfield Maintenance called to notify me that they have written a cheque for a $500 donation. They encourage other local companies to donate. Eric has had the pleasure of helping with the construction of Tennille’s Hope and the blessing of meeting Kathy. A big thanks to Eric Pond and Gregory Pond of EGS!
RANT: Please, if you drive by St. Mary School (or any school), obey the speed limit and watch for the crossing lights and for people at the cross walk! Also, please do not text while driving through the crosswalk (or any other time while driving). And, if you make the stupid mistake to speed while your phone is in your hand, do not be so rude as to raise your middle finger at the driver beside you when giving you the “What are you thinking?” look! I’m glad my daughter was careful when she crossed, and stopped to make sure this person came to a complete stop, and waited for the driver to make eye contact before crossing.
RAVE: Jessica and Lyndsay at the Whitecourt hospital in the physio department. They are so awesome! Great job, ladies.
RAVE: Lorraine at Winter Sun! Got my bottom lip pierced today and barely felt a thing. No blood. I’m really happy!
RAVE: To our town employees who are out plowing our streets at 1:30 a.m. and working all night so we can have clean roads to drive on.
RAVE: To the service staff and mechanics at Whitecourt Autopro! Always a great place to have vehicle maintenance and repairs done with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sending kudos your way!
RANT: Irresponsible pet owners who can’t contain their dogs! If you know the dog can jump a fence or get loose, put it on a long enough leash that it can’t escape! It’s sad to see the same dogs being posted countless times because their owners clearly don’t pay attention. Not to mention some Whitecourt drivers are complete idiots. What happens when your dog accidentally gets out and is hit by a reckless driver or one who couldn’t stop because of the roads? My dog is like my child; it would crush me if she got out of the yard and anything happened to her.
RANT: People on a Buy and Sell who get an attitude about an item. It’s mine, I still own it. I will decide who/where and on what grounds it is sold. It’s crazy that people get mad over $5 when it’s already been spoken for. Ugh.
RAVE: There is one gentleman who doesn’t drive who needs delivery, and he is the kindest and most patient person. I said, “No,” originally to deliver as people can be so rude. But, he was so polite and understanding when we eventually met. And, boy, I’m glad I did.
