The Whitecourt Teen Centre kids and leaders had some messy fun on Friday evening hanging out at Evermore Artistry. With a fall theme, teens were walked through a painting exercise led by Jennifer Osmond, bringing them from a blank canvas to a finished creation unique to each teen. Using yellows, browns, and oranges, they created a moonlit art piece complete with pumpkins. When asked to describe the experience with one word the budding artists said, “Unique, awesome, happiness, productive, grand, exciting, messy, neat, extravagant, and cool!” They were definitely enjoying themselves! “We work with people of all ages, from little kids all the way up to adults,” said Osmond, “Each group offers a different artistic challenge for us as guides and that’s part of what makes our job so much fun.” As they pushed paint along their canvases with a sponge, they chatted about Halloween plans from costumes to candy. The environment was friendly, comfortable, and fun, allowing for the ultimate creative experience. To enjoy your own experience at Evermore, check out www.evermoreartistry.ca.
