That’s a wrap, folks. After a hard-fought season full of great hockey, the Whitecourt Wolverines have officially been knocked out of the running in the AJHL Playoffs. Their final competition, the Calgary Canucks, proved too mighty a mountain to climb, knocking out Whitecourt’s team four games to none. The final nail in the coffin came on Wednesday, April 17. Two big goals from Rheaume and Arnold weren’t enough to keep the Canucks at bay as the southern team took the win. Though fans would’ve preferred the loss to be at home so they could give their team a big cheer and thank them for a terrific season, they will now have to wait until the first puck drop in September. Congratulations to this year’s graduating Wolverines, who will be moving on to new adventures: Dylan Leslie, Evan Arnold, Kyle Venneman, Ben Charette, Jack Franklin and Colby Browne. Thank you for the memories!
