The Year of the Monkey officially kicked off this month and the Whitecourt Public Library welcomed it with a fun night last Thursday. 18 kids, both teens and tweens, had fun making candy sushi with rolled out rice krispy squares, fruit roll up and candy pieces inside (which was a big hit!). The kids also played games including a relay race with chopsticks and marshmallows. Along with the sweet fun, attendees discovered the traits attached to each of their zodiac signs and also learned how to say “Happy New Year” in Chinese.
