TransFlowmation brought the heat to Rotary Park for Arts in the Park

During each month of the summer, the Town of Whitecourt puts on Arts in the Park to get the community out to Rotary Park together to enjoy art in its many forms.

On July 19, the park was hot! TransFlowmation, based in Edmonton, brought their dazzling show to the park, juggling and eating fire. The crowd was transfixed watching in awe as the crew defied all the rules by playing with the hot stuff. Fire in hula hoops, batons, hand-held chandeliers, and even a giant box as the grand finale made it a show not to miss!

“I think TransFlowmation was really cool and it’s something that Whitecourt has never seen before,” said Whitecourt Arts and Culture Co-ordinator, Courtney Milford, adding, “I would love to have them back. Could you imagine this in the dark?”

The free event also featured an artisan market where local creators showcased their handiwork, and a concession. Several musicians performed as well, including Adam Szybunka, Hope Phillip, and Joe Public.

The next Arts in the Park event is slated for August 23 and will feature more live music, a graffiti artist, and an outdoor movie at dusk. To stay up to date with the event, be sure to follow the Town of Whitecourt on Facebook. You can also check out www.whitecourt.ca.
