Wellspring’s Twice is Nice officially opened on Saturday to a packed store of curious shoppers. With a bright, airy and friendly atmosphere, the new business is definitely off to a great start. Located in the Midtown Mall, Twice is Nice will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-5, Thursday 12-7 and Saturday 10-4.
You’ll find all kinds of items at the store from a wide selection of gently used clothing including a large footwear section, housewares, decor, furniture and even jewellery. Store manager Shauna Bruneau exclaimed, with a huge smile, “OMG” when asked how their opening day was, “the puzzle is now complete. We are all part of it and we’ve come full circle. It’s amazing. I see Community giving back to community over and over. The positive energy in here today is like a volcano.”
Donations are graciously accepted Monday through Friday by coming in the store or ringing the back buzzer. They cannot take used mattresses, old heavy tv’s or big appliances. They do accept large furniture items but ask that you chat with them before bringing it down so storage arrangements can be made.
Wellspring Family Resource and Crisis Shelter director Becky Wells said she is excited about the store “we anticipate that this will help offset our fundraising and help with our future plan of building a transitional housing unit.” Plans for the store started one year ago with a majority of the work happening in the last three months. Wells said the morning started off with an excited team huddle “this store is going to help women and families and children in our community and that’s fantastic.”
