Want to play a role in the beautification of Whitecourt? Applications are now being accepted for the Vitalization Grant Program and the Community Business Beautification Grant.
The Vitalization program is aimed at business in the downtown core and along Highway 43. These businesses can apply for up to $10,000 to ensure the exterior of their business matches the area’s new wood and stone theme. The Beautification Grant provides financial support for businesses and organizations (such as churches and non-profits) to increase the aesthetic appeal of a business or property.
Grant applications are accepted until 4 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015. Visit the town’s website (whitecourt.ca), click on the “residents” tab and choose “public notices and press releases” to learn more, check eligibility, and to obtain an application.
