Last week, The Press showcased some downtown homes proudly displaying “Love Your Yard” signs from the Whitecourt Communities in Bloom Committee. Homeowners were awarded signs to acknowledge their efforts in making Whitecourt a beautiful place. This week, we are showcasing some uptown yards. Also worth noting is that the national judges for Communities in Bloom will be coming on Monday, August 12 to judge Whitecourt. The local bloom committee hopes the signs inspire residents to be proud of their community. They encourage residents to make extra effort, if possible, to spiff things up before August 12 to increase the communities’ chances of winning.
