Canada turned 149 on Friday with loads of local fanfare and fantastic fireworks! Rotary Park was littered with kids, both young and old, playing games including “Minute To Win It” challenges, watching fun demonstrations, trivia, listening to live music, getting their faces painted, tackling some crafts, and sampling delicious food. There was so much to see and do that it was truly an all-day party to celebrate our country’s birthday. The evening was capped off by the absolute best fireworks show Whitecourt has ever seen. One word: phenomenal! It was a celebration fit for a country. Happy Birthday, Canada!
