Youth from Whitecourt’s 721 Hawk Royal Canadian Air Cadets Squadron worked hard on the range last Thursday evening. The first half of the evening involved many practice shots with the air rifles as each attending cadet tried out for the five-person squadron range team. Once practice ended, the five cadets successful in their bid were announced. For the next hour and a half, team members focused and shot their best to achieve as many bullseyes on their scoring sheets as possible. At the end of the night, the team’s scoring sheets were sent away for the opportunity to attend a zone competition this spring.
