The Whitecourt Cats Football team put in a valiant effort last week when it hosted the Sexsmith Sabres at Graham Acres. Although the Cats played their hearts out, and left everything out on the field, they just couldn’t manage to find their way onto the scoreboard, falling 55-0.
Lots of fans came out to cheer on both teams, filling the stands nicely. Although the score isn’t what Cats’ fans were hoping for, they were still able to enjoy a fun game on one of the last summer afternoons of 2016.
The Cats will head out on the road to play the Hillside Cougars on the 30th. The next home game is October 14 versus the Mavericks.
