The Whitecourt Cats played an exceptional game against the Peace Wapiti Titans over the weekend. The Cats scored two touchdowns only minutes into the first quarter. The score at the end of the second quarter was 18-7 and the Cats continued to stay ahead, keeping the score at 24-7. With only one minute remaining, the Titans managed to score a touchdown closing the third quarter with 24-19. The Cats ended with a victorious final quarter. With only a minute to go, the Titans attempted an onside kick. In hopes of regaining posession of the ball, the onside kick was recovered by the Cats. Cats player Noel Tapp scored the game’s final touchdown making the final score 30-19 and sending the Cats to Provincials on November 10 at the Riel Field in St. Albert.
