> The Whitecourt Children’s Festival was held last week on Thursday and Friday. Spread across three venues, a parking lot, and two full days, the jam-packed schedule started at 9:45 each morning and didn’t end until 8 p.m. Safire Circus performers roamed the Scott Safety Centre mesmerizing kids and adults alike with hula hoops, gazing balls, and amazing balancing acts. Classes were bused over from area schools to take part in projects including kite making, art with Evermore Artistry, and fabric painting. The curling rink stage saw many exciting performers including the Gizmo Guys, magician Steve Harmer, and Hoop dancer Dallas Arcand. With so much to see and do, the Children’s Festival was definitely the place to be! The Firefly Theatre & Circus dazzled the packed crowed at the AJMC during both its evening shows. Sky-high ribbon performances, aerial hoops, eye-popping feats of strength, and some hilarious audience participation made it perfect. A big thank you to all the organizers who brought together this epic event!
