Calgary may have its stampede and Edmonton its Canadian Finals Rodeo competition, but can anything take the place of a good old-fashioned hometown rodeo? I think not! The horses and riders, the contests, the outdoor grill – it’s all part of what it means to grow up in the country.
Mayerthorpe’s 2015 rodeo took place from May 22 to 24 at the Exhibition Centre. The event, hosted by the Mayerthorpe Rodeo Club, included a Saturday night dance at the Diamond Centre.
