Demolition of the public playground located on Park Circle took place last Thursday morning. The playground area and its pathway will remain closed to the public until sometime this week when new equipment will be brought in and set up. The Town of Whitecourt developed a playground replacement program in 2014 that outlined several playgrounds around town with equipment that had safety concerns. To date, the playgrounds on Baly Road, Blueberry Drive, Wagoner Crescent and Southland Park have been replaced.
