On Wednesday, July 4, local RCMP responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of 47 Street and 52 Avenue. Two mopeds/scooters travelling side by side collided resulting in one of the motorized units hitting the rear of a pickup truck that was stopped at the intersection awaiting a red light. One moped operator was knocked off his bike and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution. The lane reopened to traffic within half an hour.
