Timberstoke hosted a Skate Day at the Whitecourt skate park on Saturday. Competitions included scooter, skate, and BMX with ages 10 to 18 invited to take part. For only $20, each participant received a skate t-shirt, lunch, a shot at prizes, and a product toss. With storms rolling by throughout the day, a portion of the skate was postponed until Sunday in case of a downpour. The event brought awareness to the Build the Bowl campaign which is a planned addition to the current park. Anyone interested in being a sponsor, having a say, and/or helping with the campaign, can see Dan or Sunny Bryant at Timberstoke.
