On November 13, the Whitecourt Taekwondo Club met at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre for its largest class of the year with all ages and classes invited. There were 94 students in attendance with ages ranging from four to 65 years. A strong group of Jr. & Sr. Black Belts led the class through a warm-up, the basics, and then pattern practice to prepare for the upcoming belt promotion. On January 26, 2019, the club will host its 29th Annual Whitecourt Taekwondo Tournament at the Allan & Jean Millar Centre where hundreds of athletes from across Alberta will compete for medals in both sparring & patterns. The tournament is open to the public for viewing. For more information on January’s upcoming Taekwondo session, please contact Head Instructor Tara Farnsworth at (780) 268-4086.
