Teen paintball trip

By Zachary Edwards

This very morning, a bus headed out from the Whitecourt Teen Centre to Deer Lodge Paintball filled with teens and kids excited for a day of paintball.

Today’s paintball trip is an affordable day activity where kids can go and play paintball, enjoy a hot dog roast or concession lunch, and hang out with other kids who love the fast-paced sport. Tickets were only $10 and included transportation to and from the event, rental gear, and paintballs.

Paintball is just one of the many exciting activities made possible through the combined effort of the Teen Centre and Whitecourt’s Boys and Girls Club. So, if it isn’t your thing, the Teen Centre has plenty of other activities to keep you busy this summer  including hikes to local landmarks and other sports activities. The Teen Centre has a full line-up of these activities and more right through the year. Registration for September events opens today, August 2.

If you think you’re too old to play, then you’re probably the perfect age to volunteer. The Teen Centre is always looking for responsible and energetic people to help run programs, mentor kids, and help our town’s youth have fun and stay active.

The Whitecourt Teen Centre is celebrating its fifth year of operation and is possible thanks to the combined efforts of the Boys and Girls Club of Whitecourt and District, Whitecourt POWER Group, Whitecourt Youth Clinic, the Town of Whitecourt, and Woodlands County.
