Thanks to some much needed co-operation from Mother Nature, Whitecourt Woodlands Tourism was able to hold its Tubing Day on the McLeod River on Thursday afternoon. Originally planned for earlier in the month but rained out, the event went forward without a hitch as tubers enjoyed a relaxing float followed by a free barbecue at the tubing pick-up spot. Woodlands rep Dana Severson and Town rep Alayssia Brown greeted tubers as they emerged from the water, offering them hot dogs and water. The event proved to be a resounding success with lots of participation as the hot sun lured riders of all ages out to have fun on the water. Both the Town and County are pleased with the event’s outcome and hope everyone enjoyed themselves. If you haven’t tried tubing yet or it’s been awhile, what are you waiting for? Just head on up West Mountain
Road and follow the signs.
