The Wolverines played host to the Lloydminster Bobcats on Friday night and needed OT to decide the match. Tied up 1-1, the Bobcats quickly got the game winner mere seconds into overtime leaving the Wolverines with one point on the night.
On Saturday night, the Drayton Valley Thunder rolled into Whitecourt and it was a shutout for the Wolverines 3-0. It was also the 2nd annual Breast Cancer Awareness Bra Toss which involved the audience bringing bras to toss onto the ice the moment the Wolverines scored their first goal. Within seconds of Kevin Domingue’s (#20) goal, the ice was littered with bras of all colours. Thank you to everyone who took part!
